

Baltic Street AEH, Inc. Names Chief Executive Officer Isaac S. Brown

Baltic Street AEH, Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Isaac S. Brown of Elizabeth, New Jersey, as Chief Executive Officer starting from February 9, 2010. Isaac S. Brown is currently working, as a Training Coordinator for the Mental Health Empowerment Project, Inc. Isaac is a consumer of mental health services. Isaac started working in the mental health field as an advocate in 1991. He was the former Director of Advocacy & Housing services for Baltic Street AEH Inc., for almost 10 years. Before joining the Baltic Street AEH Inc., he served as program supervisor at a clubhouse in Brooklyn, NY.
Isaac currently serves on the Recipient Advisory Committee of New York State Office of Mental Health; he also sits on the sub committee of New York City’s Community Services Board. He is a board member of National Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. He is also a board member of Multi Talents Inc.
In 1997, Isaac was awarded the Consumer of the Year award for Excellence in Service and Programming from the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Alcoholism Services. In 2000, he received the Marty K. Smith Memorial Award from New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services for contributing to the advancement of people with psychiatric disabilities. In 2002 he received the Sonia Brodsky memorial award for furthering the arts. Isaac was also featured prominently in the transit system’s public anti-stigma campaign and has been featured on television, radio and in the New York Times as a prominent advocate in the mental health movement. Isaac in 2005 received the Ely Lily Reintegration Award for Artistic Excellence. And is also a working artist.
Isaac is married for 12 years and has an 11 year old daughter. He is very proud of his family. Isaac Brown is a great asset to the agency and we look forward to having him aboard.
